Clerks

1h 32m Comedy 1994

A day in the lives of two convenience clerks named Dante and Randal as they annoy customers, discuss movies, and play hockey on the store roof.

The legendary indie film that launched the career of Kevin Smith and won over both critics and audiences with its raw energy, outrageous comedy and soundtrack.

“I’m not even supposed to BE here today!”

And with that, permanently exasperated manchild Dante Hicks begins another day at his Leonardo, New Jersey, Quick Stop convenience store, woken from his weekend slumber to fill in for a sick coworker. But thanks to the appearance of a pushy cigarette rep, Dante’s girlfriend, an unexpected wake, a dead guy in the bathroom, a hockey game on the roof, and a long-overdue epiphany, Dante just might make this a most atypical day, finally grow up, and become a mature adult. If he doesn’t get thrown in jail first.
